Gator Nation

The CVAC’s 2018-2019 Concert Series resumes after the holiday break with high energy music from the Gator Nation Band on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the CVIC Hall in Minden.

Gator Nation Band, formerly known as Gator Beat, the West Coast’s premiere Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans R&B band, is a hand-clapping, foot-stomping, high energy concert and dance band. With the same survival instinct as its namesake, Gator Nation continues to adapt itself to its audiences, always with something fresh yet true to its calling.

That calling is to represent the music of South Louisiana in all its forms, Cajun, Zydeco, and New Orleans style. They have the talent and diversity to do so, to express the nuances that define the genres. The result is a remarkable show with so much variety and depth that at the end of the show, the Gator Nation Band leaves you happy and hollerin’ “Gimme Some Mo”!

The band features Willard Blackwell, band leader/vocals and washboard; David Scott, saxophone, penny whistle and vocals; Randy Quan, guitar and vocals; Dennis Hadley, accordion and vocals ; Tim Haggerty, bass; and Bobby ‘G’ Gaviola, drums.

The 7 pm concert at the CVIC Hall featuring the Gator Nation Band will be a high energy evening of music and dance you don’t want to miss! Doors open at 6 pm.
