Carson City’s Slot World Casino Reopens After Makeover

Slotworld, Carson City NevadaSlot World Casino on Highway 50 East at Fairview in Carson City has reopened under new ownership after a total makeover of the 27,000 sq. ft. facility. The business and property were purchased earlier this year by the owners of Bodines Casino in Carson City, the Carson Valley Inn in Minden and Sharkey’s Casino in Gardnerville.

According to Joey Whitacre, Director of Marketing and Casino Operations for the four facilities, “Slot World has been completely remodeled with just about everything demolished and rebuilt from the air handling equipment, to the floors, walls, ceiling, restrooms, casino, kitchen, restaurant and everything in between! We have retained many of the popular slots and videos from the original facility and brought in over 100 new state-of-the-art games and themes. Our new player’s club, SlotWorld Rewards, will allow you to redeem your points for FreePlay directly at the machine or for food as you pay in the restaurant.”

Slot World Lead Manager on Duty Demont Pegram indicated, “Colorful lighting is evident thought the casino bringing life and energy. A large bar in the center of the casino provides a gathering place to meet friends, enjoy a cocktail or watch sports on one of the many TV screens. Sports betting is available at the Guest Services Counter where winning sports tickets from any of the four locations can be redeemed. Additional TV screens are also positioned in various spots around the casino.”

“Betsy’s Big Kitchen” is open from 6 am to 10 pm. While the location in the building hasn’t changed, everything else is new including carpet, walls, ceiling, seating and equipment – all designed to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner choices – plus Weekend Dinner Specials – that will provide the proverbial something for everyone! Enlargements of Carson Valley postcards cover the walls with nostalgia and a few have clever enhancements designed to bring a chuckle or two.

On the exterior, the building has been repainted, the parking areas have been resurfaced and restriped and the next few weeks will bring more landscaping, awnings, a new marquee reader sign topper at the corner of Hwy 50 E and Fairview and a “better watch it closely” sign at the entrance closest to Betsy’s Big Kitchen.

Principle owner Mike Pegram added, “We appreciate everyone’s patience during the remodeling project and we’re looking forward to welcoming back the Slot World neighbors and all Carson City residents!”
